BiON is one of Malaysia’s most established environmental engineering and renewable energy solution providers. The name “BiON” is inspired by, and derived from, the green ecological world of BIO – i.e. life – and the progressive energy of ION – i.e. an electrically charged group of atoms.

Over the span of 40 years, BiON has securely built its foundations and expertise in the successful delivery of wastewater treatment solutions and services for various industries throughout Asia.

More recently, the business has turned its focus to waste-to-energy through the development of biogas power plants – as an Independent Power Producer and as an Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPCC) contractor – to generate renewable energy from the treatment of palm oil mill effluent (POME).
